Geotagging is a process where geographical identification metadata is added to different types of media such as digital photos and videos. This metadata may consist of longitude and latitude coordinates and may also include altitude, distances, and bearings. Geotags are designed to provide users with a wide variety of location-specific information. There a several Sony cameras on the market which have a geotagging feature these include the GPS-CS1, the GPS-CS3KA and the Ericsson C903. Each unit has an almost identical method for geotagging.

Slide the back cover of the camera down to activate it.

Press the softkey next to the Setting icon, while holding the camera in landscape mode.

Press down the right scroll area of the navigation rocker until you reach the Settings list.

Scroll down the Settings list to Add Position and then press the Select button.

Scroll up to and highlight the On key and press Select. Then press OK.
