Instructions

    • 1

Open MS Word. Click "Table" on the navigation bar. Highlight "Insert," and select "Table." An "Insert Table" dialog box appears.

    • 2

Type "1" in the "Number of columns" field and "2" in the number of rows field. Click "OK."

    • 3

Select "Table" from the navigation bar, and click "Table Properties." CLick the "Row" tab. Click the box beside "Specify Height" under "Row 1," and type "5." Click the "Next row" button, and enter "5" also for the second row. Click the "Column" tab, and ensure that the preferred width is "6.15." Click "OK" to close the box.

    • 4

Click within the second row of the table and type in the text for the front of the invitation. Enhance the appearance of the text with the tools on the tool bar. For instance, choose a decorate font, increase the size, change the color and center the text.

    • 5

Insert a picture, if appropriate. Click the "Insert" option on the navigation toolbar, and highlight "Picture." Click "Clip art" to select one of the images from the clip art gallery or "From File" to select a picture. Click the clip art or picture, and use the handles around it to resize the picture if necessary.

    • 6

Click the borders icon on the toolbar. (This icon appears on the right side of the toolbar, beside the icon portraying a highlighter.) Select the "Insider Horizontal Border" option to remove the horizontal line on the card. Insert a sheet of cardstock paper into the printer tray, and print the card.

    • 7

Repeat steps 1 to 3 to create a table for the second page of the card. Click within the lower part of the table, and type the information for the event. Adjust the text as desired.

    • 8

Place the printed sheet of card stock paper into the printer tray with the printed side facing up. Print the second page of the invitation.

    • 9

Cut off the excess paper around the card, using the borders as a guide. Score a horizontal line across the middle of the card with a scoring tool. Fold the card along this line.
