How to Download Opera Software

Opera is compatible with most computers and handheld devices with Internet access.

The Opera browser comes from Opera Software ASA, which began in 1994 as a project within Norway's Telenor telecom company. Opera offers a full-featured, security-conscious web browser for PC, Mac, Linux, mobile phones and a variety of other products such as PDAs and gaming consoles Opera's advantages include speed and flexibility. It comes with tabbed browsing for convenient movement from one open web page to another. Numerous software websites, including Opera's own website, offer Opera downloads at no charge. With the help of an Internet connection and a few minutes of your time, a compatible download of Opera will be yours.

Instructions

1. Enter the URL "Opera.com" in your current web browser.

2. Click on "Download."

3. Select the Opera download version that is compatible with your operating system: Windows, Mac or Linux.

4. Click the "Download" button to start the download.

5. Click "Save File" in the download dialog box.

6. Click on the downloaded Opera file to complete the installation.

7. Read the terms for using Opera's software and click "Agree" to accept the license agreement.

8. Wait for the setup process to complete. A progress bar shows on the dialog box.

9. Click on Opera's "O" icon to start the Opera browser.

• Check the "Systems Requirements" on the Opera site to make sure your system has enough space on the hard drive and meets the basic requirements to run Opera.
