How to Brighten Dull Dentures
Dentures are prosthetic devices that are made to replace missing teeth. They can be removed and placed in an individual's mouth as needed. Just like with teeth, certain activities, such as smoking and drinking coffee, can stain, yellow, or dull denture teeth. - Denture cream
- Denture brush
- Bowl or cup
- Denture whitening solution

Squeeze a pea-sized amount of denture cream onto a denture brush. Brush the dentures in the same way you would brush your teeth. This should be done twice daily to maintain clean dentures.

Remove the dentures from your mouth. Fill a clean bowl or cup with enough warm water to fully submerge the dentures. Add a package of denture-whitening solution to the water. Allow the solution to dissolve in the water. Once dissolved, submerge the dentures in the water. This should be done nightly to remove stains and restore shine to dentures.

Place the dentures in an ultrasonic cleaner. There are several brands, such as Branson, Sonicbrite, and SharperTEK, that have been approved and are safe for use with dental devices. Ensure the brand you are using is safe for dental devices prior to using. Follow the instructions for the brand of ultrasonic cleaner you are using. Add water to the ultrasonic cleaner. Place the dentures in the cleaning basket. Turn the device on. The ultrasonic waves help break up stains and restore the dentures to their original condition. Allow the cleaner to complete the cleaning cycle before removing the dentures. Ultrasonic cleaners can be used on a monthly basis to keep dentures clean.
