How to Creat Sparkles in Photoshop
If your are creating ads or other documents designed to draw the eye or impress, from greeting cards to business signs, you know that the key is visually appealing graphics. People are drawn to what is bright and flashy. One way to add this type of effect to a card is to include sparkles. This effect could make a metallic object look shinier or a dark sky appear to have stars. An effective tool for creating sparkles is Adobe Photoshop. Photoshop comes equipped with an array of tools and functions that make creating these sparkles quite straightforward.

Load the image that you want to add sparkles to onto your computer by copying it from a digital medium or by using a scanner.

Open Photoshop. Select "File" from the menu and choose "Open."In the dialog that appears, locate the file that you loaded in Step 1 and open it.

Select "Filter" form the menu and choose "Render." From the options, choose "Lens Flare." In the dialog that appears, choose the "Flare Type" you want from the options. Then position the flare in the preview where you want your first sparkle. Click "OK."

Repeat Step 3 to add as many sparkles as you want. You might want to create them on different layers so you can resize them to vary their appearance.

Select "File" and click "Save As." In the dialog, choose the file type you want, name your file and save it.
