Convert image files without any special programs.

JPG, or JPEG, is an image format commonly used on most image editing programs. Many digital cameras actually record image as a JPG file. However, if you are looking to upload the content onto the Internet or email the file without losing resolution or other attributes you need to convert the file to PDF. PDF, or portable data file, is a format that does not lose its formatting, like many documents, when emailed or uploaded to the Internet. In order to convert the JPG to PDF you don't need any additional program, outside of what is already installed on the computer.

Instructions

    • 1

Launch the image editing software you have on the computer. Although it is possible to use higher end programs such as Adobe Photoshop or CorelDraw, Windows Paint functions adequately.

    • 2

Click "File," "Open," then choose the JPG file you want to convert into a PDF document.

    • 3

Select "File," "Save As" after the file has loaded onto the screen. Title the file, then choose a location to save the file to. Click the format pull-down menu, then select "PDF" as the format. Select "OK" and the PDF file is created.
