Share photos on Google with Picasa.

You can share your photos on Google by setting up a Picasa Web Album. Google offers Picasa software to manage and share your photos online. You'll need to sign up for an account at Google's website before you can upload and share your photos. If you use Google Documents or Gmail, you already have a Google account.

Instructions

    • 1

Sign into your Google account, and go to Google's Picasa page. Navigate there from "My Account" in the upper right corner of any Google page.

    • 2

Download the Picasa application. Double-click the icon to install the program after it downloads.

    • 3

Open Picasa, and go to "Tools" then "File Manager" to select the folders you want Picasa to scan for photos. Go to "Tools" and "Options" to change the file types Picasa will scan and display.

    • 4

Choose "Import" to add photos from a camera, CD or external drive. Select where you'd like to import photos from, then select a destination folder to place the photos in.

    • 5

Check the box marked "Upload" if you want to simultaneously upload the photos to your Picasa Web Album. Then choose "Import Selected" or "Import All," depending on your preference.

    • 6

Organize and edit your photos, if necessary, and click the "Share" button to upload all or some of your photos. If you checked the "Upload" box when importing, you won't need to upload a second time.

    • 7

Click the "Email" button to send individual or small sets of photos. Your other option is to email a link to your Picasa Web Album. Google provides 1 GB of photo storage for your use.
