How to Make Naturally Wavy Hair Look Good

Naturally wavy hair can be easy to style

Wavy hair is often called "beach hair" because loose, soft waves are considered to be a relaxed summertime look. Women with naturally wavy hair sometimes have difficulty figuring out the best styles to prevent frizz, increase shine and keep their waves from looking unruly. A few different styling tricks can help make naturally wavy hair look as good as possible.

Things You'll Need

• Texture balm
• Leave-in conditioner
• Hairspray
• Comb
• Curling iron

Instructions

1. Apply moisturizing leave-in conditioner to wet hair. Comb through and squeeze hair to remove excess moisture. Let hair air dry to achieve natural, loose waves.

2. Work a quarter-sized dollop of texturizing styling balm into your hands and apply to dry hair, working it through the hair. Scrunch hair with your hands to activate the waves. Spray lightly with hairspray to hold.

3. Use a curling iron with a large barrel to add shape and definition to the waves around the face. Clamp the curling iron on large sections of hair and roll the hair up into the curling iron. Hold the curling iron vertically and release after a few seconds. Let curls cool and comb through with fingers.
