How to Undelete Files in Vista
Windows Vista automatically makes shadow copies of your files and folders daily. Shadow copies are used when a user performs a system restore. A system restore will reset your entire operating system to a previous date, which is useful when your computer has been damaged by a virus or malware, but is unnecessary when you only need to recover a single file or folder. It's more practical to find the shadow copies of the specific files you want to undelete and only restore those copies. To access these invaluable shadow copies, use the ShadowExplorer utility.
