Natural Almond Oil Cleansing Milk
-
1
Plain yogurt is an effective, soothing ingredient for cleansers and facial masks. Whip 1/2 cup plain yogurt and 1 1/2 tsp. lemon juice in a mixing bowl, using a hand mixer. Beat the two ingredients well so they're frothy.
-
2
Run the mixer on the lowest speed, and slowly pour in 1 tbsp. almond oil. The almond oil provides a moisturizing element to the cleansing milk as well as a subtle, pleasant fragrance.
-
-
3
Scrape the natural almond oil cleansing milk into a glass jar. Store in a sealed jar and place it in the refrigerator.
-
4
Oatmeal soothes and gently exfoliates the skin. Add 2 tbsp. finely ground oatmeal to the cleansing milk if an exfoliating cleanser is desired. Scoop out just enough cleanser for one application for your face, body or both, and add the ground oatmeal only to the one application. Do not add the oatmeal to the entire jar of cleansing milk as it will soften and expand from the moisture.

Tips & Warnings
Substitute other oils, such as coconut oil, olive oil or jojoba oil, for the almond oil in the cleansing milk.
When making natural skin care products that use perishable ingredients, such as yogurt or milk, always store the finished product in the refrigerator so it doesn't go sour or get moldy.
