How to Program 2007 Nissan Sentra Keyless Entry

You can program a keyless-entry remote for a 2007 Nissan Sentra as long as your vehicle uses the standard Nissan remote. The standard remote is separated from the key. The upgraded remote is integrated with the Nissan key. This is also known as a smart key. If your Sentra has a smart key, you cannot program the remote yourself. You'll need to bring the car to a Nissan dealer for programming. The base Nissan Sentra does not come with power door locks or keyless entry. You'll be unable to program a remote for the base model as well.

Instructions

    • 1

Sit inside your 2007 Nissan Sentra and close the door. Press "Lock" on the driver-side door panel. Quickly insert your key into the ignition slot six times within a 10 second window. Don't turn the key. Fully insert and remove it each time. The car's exterior lights and dash hazard light will flash quickly. If they do not, open and then close the door and start over.

Put the key in the slot again, but don't remove it. Turn the key to position "Acc." Press any of the buttons one time on the remote within five seconds of turning the key to its position. The lights should flash again; this tells you the remote was accepted.

Press any button on another remote, if you need to program more than one remote. When you are finished, turn the ignition off and take the key out. Press "Unlock" on the door switch (not on the remote) and open the door. Close the door and test your remotes.
