How Do I Transfer Money to a Navy Federal Account? thumbnail
There are several ways to ransfer money to a Navy federal bank account.

Whether in the military or a civilian, the Navy Federal Credit Union (NFCU) offers a variety of options to transfer money to a member's bank account such as a wire transfer, automated clearing house (ACH) or by visiting a NFCU branch.

Instructions

    • 1

Conduct a wire transfer to send funds to a Navy Federal account. According to NFCU, a wire transfer "is the quickest most efficient option." To complete a wire transfer, you will need the NFCU account number into which the money will be transferred. You will also need the NFCU routing/transit number of 2560-7497-4 to complete a wire transfer. NFCU conducts wire transfers to savings, checking and money market accounts. NFCU does not charge for a wire transfer and the transfer generally occurs the same day.

Ask the other bank if they can use an automated clearing house (ACH) to a NFCU account if you wish to transfer money from a non-NFCU bank. NFCU does not charge for an ACH but the other bank might.

    • 3

Set up a direct deposit or allotment to a NFCU savings or checking account so funds are transferred to the account every payday.

    • 4

Deposit funds directly into a NFCU account by visiting a NFCU branch and speak with a bank employee about transferring money.

    • 5

Call NFCU at 888-842-6328 to conduct a Western Union Money Order/Quick Cash Order for transferring funds into an account.
