How do I Fold the Total Gym 1700 Club?
The Total Gym 1700 Club is designed to provide a gym quality workout at home. The gym allows you to work your upper and lower body, as well as your core region. Cardiovascular exercise may be achieved using the gym by performing exercises consecutively. The gym is designed around a sliding platform that allows you to use a portion of your own body weight for resistance. The Total Gym 1700 Club is designed to be folded away for storage.

Attach the cap on the vertical column. Remove the flip chart assembly and all other attachments. Verify that the cable pulley is connected to the bottom of the glideboard.

Disconnect the safety hitch pin from the vertical column. Lift and hold the rail with two hands before releasing the height adjustment quick-release pin. After releasing the pin, lower the rails until they lie on the back crossbar.

Slide the handle on the left side rail up, releasing the springloaded pin. Slide the vertical column toward the center of the gym. Slide the safety hitch pin into the bottom of the vertical column.

Push the glideboard down toward the bottom of the gym. Carefully lift up on the top of the glideboard, pulling the gym up until the back crossbar is approximately 12 inches away from the front crossbar. Use caution when lifting the glideboard. Do not pinch your fingers while folding the gym.

Fold the gym until the front and back crossbars meet. You can now lay the gym flat for under-bed storage or roll it into a closet or storage area.
