How to Set Up a Wine Club
For those who have never heard of a wine club, it is kind of like a sophisticated version of a book club for adults. It is an informal gathering of friends who enjoy wine where they can taste and sample many different varieties of this tasty drink and enjoy each other's company. If you are looking to start a wine club, you don't need much more than some good friends and even better wine.

1
Assign a leader who can be in charge of planning events, finding a venue, setting the dates and arranging the details.
-
2
Invite other members to join. Choose people that share a common interest in quality wine and who will also provide pleasant company. It is a good idea to limit the number of members to about 10 to 15 so that the focus can be on the wine and the cost will not become prohibitive.

-
3
Arrange a way to sponsor your events. Members can either rotate hosting the parties, and each host will sponsor his own event, or all members can chip in for every event. If you decide to split the cost for every party, make sure you set a budget that accommodates everyone's spending abilities.
-
4
Pick a date for your first official event and purchase wine. Each event can feature one specific style of wine, or it can offer a wide selection, depending on what the host or committee has decided.
-
5
Purchase enough wine glasses to accommodate all of the members, or ask everyone to bring their own.
-
6
Develop a scoring method that you will use to judge every wine. After each wine has been sampled, have everyone score the wine to see how it compares to the others.
