How to Run Quicken on Two Computers

Sharing data between two computers with Quicken 10 requires nothing special. However, with Quicken 9 and older versions you must use the backup and restore commands to share files. Using backup and restore commands to run Quicken on two computers requires you to backup your data to either an external drive or a backup disc, such as a CD or DVD. Although it is suggested that you use the same version of Quicken on both computers, if you happen to be using different versions, Quicken will automatically convert the data for use in the newer version by default.
