How to Create a Missing Cat Poster

You can find your missing cat more quickly with a colorful poster.

It can feel devastating when a pet, such as a cat, becomes lost or accidentally wanders away. Although people find lost cats and take them to shelters, lost animals are often simply kept by people who consider them strays. In order to notify as many people as possible about your lost cat, you should create a missing cat poster designed to capture attention.

Things You'll Need

• Large poster board
• Fluorescent paint
• Wide permanent markers
• Large photo of your cat
• Craft glue
• Duct tape

1. Place a large sheet of poster board onto a flat surface. Using a larger piece of poster board will capture more attention.

2. Write out the information about your missing cat using a wide-tipped permanent marker and bubble lettering.

3. Fill in the bubble lettering using fluorescent paint. The fluorescence will pull attention more easily than classic, non-fluorescent colors.

4. Paste a large picture of your missing cat onto the front of the poster. Select a photo that clearly shows any significant features specific to your cat.

5. Duct tape the missing cat poster to a highly visible light pole near areas that are frequently traveled. Check with your town government to see which areas allow the posting of missing cat signs.
