How to Configure a Linksys WRV200
The Linksys WRV200 is a discontinued router manufactured by Cisco. It is a wireless virtual private network (VPN) router with a special "range booster" feature. It has two antennas for an increased wireless range, which is good for big offices and homes. You can create VPN accounts on the router, making it extra secure. You can configure multiple computers to use the Linksys WRV200 router or just use it for a single laptop.

Turn off your router, computer and modem. Hook an Ethernet cable from a LAN port on your router to the computer's Ethernet port.

Connect another Ethernet cable from the Internet port on your router to the modem.

Plug in the router's power adapter and plug it into an outlet. The lights will flash for a few minutes.

Turn on the computer. Go to "Start" > "Settings" > "Control Panel" > "Network and Dial-up Connections."

Choose "LAN" and select "Properties."

Check off the box next to "TCP/IP" and hit "Properties."

Choose "Obtain an IP address automatically." Wait for it to find an IP address and hit "OK." Reboot your PC.

Open your browser window and type in "http://192.168.1.1." Hit "Enter."

Type in "admin" for both the username and password. Hit "OK."

Choose "Automatic Configuration" and hit "Save Settings."

Press the "Wireless" tab and type in a network name. You can make this name up. Type in a password. Save your settings and reboot your PC.

Tips & Warnings
You can change the settings on the router to make it more or less secure.
Always keep your router password-protected to avoid hackers.
