Click the "Start" button. From the Start menu, select "Control Panel.".

Double-click "Automatic Updates" in the Control Panel. This will bring you to the Automatic Updates screen.

Click the check box next to "Automatic." Choose the date and time you wish for your computer to automatically download and install your updates and press "OK." Your computer will now download and install all updates automatically, circumventing the 0x800704DD error.
