"Tap Tap," a series bought and mainly developed by Tapulous, is among the all-time best-selling video game series, with more than 35 million sales. It began with the game "Tap Tap Revolution," a play off of the hit game "Dance Dance Revolution" and developed by Nate True. As of August 2010, the original game is the only one that can play any song you wish to add to it, though later versions have pages of songs you can download.

Instructions

    • 1

Open the .tap file in your Tap Tap application, and enter:

      #title "[song name]"

      #artist "[artist name]"

      #id "[######]"

The ID number won't make a difference, no matter the number selection.

    • 2

Name the music file and .tap file the same title, but add a difficulty in parenthesis before the end of the .tap file; for example, the music file might be named "Grace - Jeff Buckley.m4a" while the .tap file would be named "Grace - Jeff Buckley (medium).m4a."

    • 3

Open the links "Var," then "mobile," followed by "Applications." Open the ttr.app link from the folders there, which are named long strings of numbers. It may take several tries to locate the correct folder.

    • 4

Save the song file to the "Music" folder of the Tap Tap Revolution folder, and save the .tap file to the "Taps" folder.

Tips & Warnings

  • The method you should use to jailbreak an iPhone depends on the model of iPhone you have. See the Resources section to view a jailbreaking guide with methods for each model.

  • Notes will not always line up perfectly with a song when a file is quickly converted this way. Purchase songs or play default songs fully synced Tap Tap Revolution song.
