Massage your scalp daily to stimulate hair growth. Massaging the scalp includes rubbing, kneading, stroking, and putting pressure on the skin of the scalp. Hair-loss experts say that scalp massage "can increase blood circulation to the hair follicles, increase relaxation, decrease stress, condition the scalp, and boost the strength of the hair roots." Increased blood circulation to the hair follicles means that they will recieve more nutrients and produce healthier hair faster. Relaxation and decreased stress are important to hair growth, because when a body feels good, its organs work better.
To perform a scalp massage, dip your fingertips in a massage oil. Starting at your hairline and working backwards, move your fingertips in circular motions until you have covered your entire head. Rinse the oil out of your hair.

Eat enough vitamins and protein--hair follicles live on them. UBeautyPortal.com says, "Vitamin B helps the body produce enough protein for healthy strands." Vitamin B also makes hair strong and less likely to break. The same website also says, "Vitamin A is important for stimulating the scalp's production of a natural oil known as sebum." Sebum nourishes hair and promotes healthy hair growth. Eat proteins and vitamins in your diets or take supplemental vitamin pills that add these essential vitamins to your diet.

Drink enough water. Water hydrates the body from the inside out. A dehydrated scalp can slow hair growth. A dry scalp will also produce dry hair that breaks easily. HairBoutique.com recommends "women to drink between 2 and 2.6 liters of water a day. For men, the rule of thumb is 2.8 to 3.5 liters."

Do light exercises to stimulate hair growth. Exercising increases your heart rate and blood circulation. As mentioned in Step 1, increased blood circulation nourishes the hair follicles and stimulates hair growth. Light exercises include jogging, brisk walking, bike riding, aerobics, dancing, and almost anything else that gets you up and moving.

Don't wash your hair too much. This may dry out the scalp and create a poor environment for hair regrowth.
