How to Make Money As a Computer Equipment Broker
Making money as a computer equipment broker is fairly easy. It provides a great service to the environment if you are recycling and re-purposing used computers. There is money in parting out used computers as well as buying wholesale and reselling for a profit. This can be done once with a used computer or computer part that you don't need, or as a profitable ongoing business out of your home or office.

Find the computer equipment that you are going to sell. This can be done by parting out a computer or finding a wholesale supplier or two to buy the computer equipment from. Researching what the market for the item that you are looking into selling is important to do to make sure you are investing in items that will sell and that you will make a profit on.

2
Market the items that you have to sell. This can be done in several ways, including through online auctions, selling to individuals through word of mouth or advertising locally in newspapers or online ad sites like Craigslist. You can also sell used computers to computer recyclers and liquidators.

Listing on an online auction requires an Internet connection, digital camera and account with an auction site like eBay. First take a photo of your item. Make it a clear photo that shows any of the attributes that the item has that the potential buyer will want to see. In some cases you will need to take several pictures to highlight all that needs to be seen. Go through the listing instructions on the auction site, including all of the details of the part or item on the description entry. Remember that, if you start the item at a low price, that is potentially what it will sell for.

4
Ship your item to the buyer. Pack the item properly so that it will not be damaged during the shipment. Some items like cords can be shipped in an envelope while other items will need to be padded and in a box. See your local carrier for packing help and to calculate shipping. Some shipping carriers have a website to print out and pay for shipping labels. Be sure to wait for payment to clear from the buyer before shipping his item.
