How to Use a Terra Cotta Garlic Roaster

Things You'll Need
- Terra cotta garlic roaster
- Garlic
- Olive oil
- Seasonings (optional)
- Knife
- Oven
- Oven mitt

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

Prepare a garlic head by peeling away any loose, excess layers of skin but leaving the head intact. Use the knife to slice the thick end off the head of garlic, so the individual cloves are partly exposed.

Place the prepared head of garlic in your terra cotta garlic roaster and drizzle the head with olive oil. If you wish, add a sprinkling of salt and herbs to add more flavor to the dish.

Put the lid on the garlic roaster and put it in the oven for about 45 to 50 minutes, or until the garlic is soft. Use the oven mitt to remove the garlic roaster and allow the garlic to cool until you can safely handle it.

Tips & Warnings
You can also use a terra cotta garlic roaster in the microwave. Just put the roaster in the microwave and cook the garlic on high heat for about two to three minutes, or until the garlic is soft.
