How to Find NA Meetings

Save

Narcotics Anonymous has long been in the business of helping people with drug abuse problems recover from their addiction. Since bridging off the Alcoholics Anonymous program in the 1940s in Los Angeles, the program has spread across the country and across the globe. According to NA, as of 2010, there are over 58,000 weekly meetings across 131 countries. You can find a meeting near you by visiting the organization's website and performing a simple search.

Visit the Narcotics Anonymous homepage at www.na.org.

Click the "Find a Meeting" image at the bottom right corner of the NA homepage.

Click "NA Meeting Search" on the right-hand side of the page.

Enter your city, county, state or province (if in the U.S. or Canada) and ZIP code, as well as your primary language, how far you are willing to travel to attend an NA meeting and which day fits into your schedule. Click the "Search" button.

Write down the information listed on the screen, if satisfied. Otherwise, click the "New Search" link.

Tips & Warnings

  • Once you've found the NA meeting that works for you, it is best to call and confirm the meeting time, in case it has changed or been moved.
  • If you are looking for an online meeting, select "Web" instead of the country you live in, and remember to choose a day.
  • Additional search tools are available on the NA website. Search for local phonelines and websites by visiting www.na.org/?ID=phoneline.
  • Meetings are subject to change, and may not always be updated regularly on NA's website.
