Pictures stored on a computer may be sent to an email recipient through Outlook Express.

Outlook Express is an e-mail application developed by Microsoft and used on Windows operating systems. The application allows users to send and receive emails, inclusive of various attachments, including pictures. Pictures stored on user computers are often large, and take a significant amount of time to send over email. However, Windows operating systems will automatically resize and send pictures through a simple procedure.

Instructions

    • 1

Locate the folder containing the pictures to be sent. The files may be located in the computer's "My Pictures" directory, accessed by opening "Start," then clicking "My Pictures."

    • 2

Hold CTRL and click each photo to be emailed. This process will highlight each photo.

    • 3

Right-click one of the highlighted pictures and click "Send To," and click "Mail Recipient."

    • 4

Click "Make all my pictures smaller" to resize the pictures automatically.

    • 5

Click "OK." In the message windows that pops up, type in the recipient's name, the message subject and the content of the message and click "Send."
