How to Repair a Quicken Database
Because Quicken files hold so much information about personal finances, if something should happen to the Quicken program's database to render it corrupt, it can lock you out of your finances. Fortunately, Quicken has a method built into its program that allows you to recover at least part of a corrupt database. By using Quicken's Database Validate utility, you can check your database and have Quicken automatically repair any errors it finds.

Click on the "File" button in Quicken.

Hover over the "File Operations" option.

Click "Validate" in the window that appears.

Tips & Warnings
If possible, try to restore a backup of your Quicken data before following these steps by clicking "File," then "Restore Backup File," then opening the backup using the file dialog that appears.
Due to corruption, some data may not be restored as a result of repairing the database.
