In an effort to monitor and reduce the spread of cybercrime, the National White Collar Crime Center, Bureau of Justice Assistance and the FBI formed the Internet Crime Complaint Center. IC3 is a law enforcement reporting and referral service. If you are a victim of cybercrime, which includes various fraud offenses committed through the Internet, filing a complaint with IC3 is a step in the right direction.

      Visit the "Welcome to IC3" page and then select "File a Complaint." Refer to the Resources listing for the website.

      Read the overview information and then agree to the terms and conditions by clicking "I Accept." IC3 redirects you to the "Complaint Referral Form" page.

      File the complaint by completing the "Incident Characteristics" questions, selecting "Next," entering your personal details and information pertaining to the fraud, and then following the prompts.
