How to Reset an XM Inno

The Inno puts satellite radio in the palm of your hand.

The Inno is a portable satellite radio receiver and MP3 player that works with the XM network. Made by Pioneer Electronics, it can receive all 170 XM channels and can also play files in either WMA or MP3 format. Although the device is portable, it includes not only a home dock and antenna but also a remote control and audio connection cables for easy use in a home setting. This device won the Best of CES 2006 People's Voice award from CNET and the Editor's Choice award from PC Magazine.

Instructions

1. Press the "XM" button. The XM button is located in the middle of the directional pad on the bottom of the Inno's front panel.

2. Use the down arrow to navigate to the settings menu and press the "XM" button to select it.

3. Press the down arrow to navigate to the "Setup" menu and select it with the "XM" button. You will then see a number of choices, including "Factory Defaults." Navigate to that one with the down arrow and press the "XM" button to select it.

4. Choose one of the two reset choices. "Restore setting only" will reset the Inno to its factory default setting but will not erase any stored music. "Restore & Erase" will completely reset it to out-of-the-box condition. Use the down arrow to navigate to your choice and press the "XM" button to select it. The Inno will ask you to confirm by pressing the "XM" button on the "Yes" choice.
