Improving the performance of your diesel engine boils down to one key factor--improving efficiency. You can't change the input of a diesel engine, as then it would no longer be a diesel engine, and there is no reason to change the output. Therefore, you need to focus on the actual process of burning diesel and converting it into mechanical energy--you need to make your engine use more energy for driving your truck and less energy for other things. Purchase and install a diesel chip. These are sophisticated chips that manage the flow of diesel in relation to the driving conditions. This means that your engine will only burn as much diesel as it needs to. What's more, diesel chips dramatically increase your power and torque by releasing more diesel when the engine needs it.

Install a high-quality filter. A diesel engine needs cool air to keep it from overheating. If it has an inefficient filter, the engine will spend valuable energy taking in air.
