The Sony VPL-PX20 projector is a multi-use projector with three LCDs and a 1024-by-768 XGA resolution. Supporting both HD video and computer outputs, this device can be used in both business and home theater applications. With its 1400 ANSI lumen brightness rating, it can be used in settings with ambient light as well. It is a large unit, though, weighing almost 16 pounds, and approximately 13.5 inches square and almost 6 inches thick.

      Plug the projector into the wall and put it into standby mode. You should have already replaced the projector's lamp with a new LMP-P200.

      Press the "Reset," left arrow, right arrow and "Enter" keys on the projector's control panel. Press them in the exact order listed here, one after another, and press each key for less than five seconds.

      Turn the projector on with the "Power" button. Press the "Menu" key to enter the projector's menu settings.

      Press the down arrow to navigate to the "Install Setting" menu and press the right arrow to select it. You should see the lamp timer at the bottom of the screen. If you have correctly reset the lamp timer, it will indicate 0 or 1 hours.

      Press the "Menu" key to exit the menu system.
