Press the "pro" button, which begins the previously-programmed mixing process, and place the ice cream maker in the freezer. The process can take from 1-1/2 to five hours before the ice cream is ready to eat. When the "pro" light turns green, the ice cream is ready.

Check on the ice cream while it's freezing. The mixing blades may stick if the ice cream is too hard. Remove the blades from the top of the ice cream maker and then pull them out of the ice cream. Ice cream that is too thick has too much liquid in it and may not freeze properly.
