How do I Look for High School Classmates?
High school graduation sends most classmates in different directions. Classmates may lose track of each other and then want to find each other later, especially when planning class reunions. Using the Internet, checking public records and contacting your high school are methods you can use to locate former classmates.

1
Search for your classmate's name in a standard search engine such as Google or Yahoo. This will pull up any websites or web references for anyone with that name.
-
2
Search social networking sites. Facebook, MySpace, LinkedIn and Classmates.com are examples of popular social networks that allow you to search according to name and high school attended.
-
-
3
Check public records. Search the government website for the state in which your classmate may reside.
-
4
Use a web search such as USA People Search. This website will allow you to search by name and will provide a list of individuals in the United States with that name. It also provides age, associated names, addresses and any possible relatives. Purchase additional information such as marriage, divorce, death and property records.
-
5
Purchase search services from a reputable online database such as KnowX. Charges range from $2.95 for a basic search to $9.95 for a complete background search.
-
6
Ask your other classmates. The person you are looking for might still be in touch with former classmates.
