How Do I Learn the Primary French Language?
French is a Romance Language that is popular largely because of its fluidity and the culture from which it springs. Because English and French do not share common roots, many people find French difficult to learn. They are unable to pronounce the words or string together sentences with proper syntax. However, French can be manageable with some exposure to the language.

1
Locate a primary learning source, whether it is a class or book with audio CDs. This is where you will be exposed to new words and sentence structure. The source should contain some method for hearing the pronunciation of words.
-
2
Repeat what you learn from the class or tapes over and over again. This includes saying the phrase several times with the English version to make a connection between the two, as well as saying this phrase several times in everyday life.

3
Create flashcards with the French word on one side and the English word on the other. Test yourself with saying these words and acting them out.
-
4
Find a tutor or someone who speaks the language fluently and schedule regular conversations with him. Begin by having an English conversation in which several French words are inserted, then progress to the tutor speaking only in French until you can also have a conversation solely in French.
-
5
Get involved with a group of French speakers so that you never take a break from French. Locate exchange students, a club, or a group of French-speaking friends to practice with many times a week.
