If the printouts on your Canon printer do not match what you see on the page, chances are the printer driver needs to be updated. You might also need to update the print driver if the computer and the printer are not communicating, or if print jobs are not coming out on the printer.

      Log on to your computer and go to Canon.com. Click on your country to get started.

      Click on the "Support and Drivers" tab at the top right-hand corner of the page. Click on the "Consumer and Home Office' option on the left-hand panel on the screen.

      Choose the "Printer and Multifunction" option and choose your printer series from the list of options. Scroll down until you find your printer model and double-click the "Software and drivers" option.

      Select your driver from the list of options. Be sure to choose the appropriate operating system. Click the "Download" button to save the driver to your computer.

      Double-click the downloaded driver to begin the installation. Verify that the printer model is correct and click "Next" to continue the installation. Accept the default path for the printer installation.
