How do I Install a Free CD Burner?

Blank CDs can be purchased at most department stores.

Though CDs are somewhat outdated by other digital storage devices, CDs are still widely used. Burned CDs can store music files, backup files, and files to share with others. These files are burned onto a CD with a computer using CD burning software. A few examples of free CD burning software are DeepBurner, InfraRecorder, and CDBurnerXP. After installing one of these CD burners on your computer, you will be able to burn files to CDs free.

Instructions

Installing DeepBurner

1. Visit the DeepBurner download website (see Resources) and click the "Download" button next to where it says "DeepBurner Free 1.9."

2. Click "Save File" and then wait for the file to download, then right-click the file and select "Open," then click "Run." Select the language you want to install with the software and click "Next."

3. Read the license agreement, then check mark the "Yes, I agree" box to agree, and then click "Next." Select the destination folder for the installation, then select to have a full installation.

4. Click "Next" once again to install the software. Once the software has been installed, click "Exit" to exit the installation.

Installing InfraRecorder

1. Navigate to the InfraRecorder downloads page (see Resources) and click "Download," then save the file and run it after it has downloaded.

2. Click the language you wish to use in InfraRecorder, and then click "OK." Read the license agreement and click "I Agree" to continue.

3. Click "Full Installation" and select the folder you want to install the software in, then click "Install." Once the installation is complete, click "Close" to exit the setup.

Installing CDBurnerX

1. Go to the CDBurnerXP downloads page (see Resources) and click "Download Latest Version."

2. Run the installation setup after saving and downloading the file. Select the destination location for the installation and click "Next."

3. Check mark the "Full installation" box, then click "Install." Wait for the setup to install CDBurnerXP to your computer. After the installation is complete, click "Finish" to exit.
