How do I Replace Home Microdermabrasion Kit Creams?
Home microdermabrasion kits are a good alternative to professional microdermabrasion treatments that can cost much more. These creams use tiny crystals to buff the skin and remove dirt and oil, producing a natural lift and glow. The kits typically include different types of applicator heads, cleansing cream and a post treatment serum. Usually the applicator can be reused, but only a limited supply of microdermabrasion cream is included. Thus, it must be replaced regularly. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Determine which brand of microdermabrasion kit you own. There are many different brands on the market. It is best to use the same cream that came with the set originally, as different kits may have different features that could affect the quality of the process.
-
2
Check to see which other parts of the kit need replacing. Some kits come with foam heads to be used with the applicator. These are also good only for a limited number of uses and need to be replaced to keep the microdermabrasion system running smoothly.

3
Search the internet to see if the company that you originally purchased the microdermabrasion kit from offers a replacement of the cream and/or the foam heads.
-
4
Ask your local drug store or a beauty store that sells home microdermabrasion kits if they carry cream replacements as well. Most likely they sell the creams separately if the microdermabrasion brand offers them.

5
Check how many applications are included in your new supplies so you know when to reorder to allow for shipping time, if necessary.

Tips & Warnings
You might have to replace the whole kit if the brand you own is now obsolete or does not offer the same kit.
To save time, buy two creams in advance if you know you will need a replacement soon.
Make sure to apply a good moisturizer after treatment, as your skin is most likely able to absorb more at this time.
Overuse of the microdermabrasion kit system may cause damage to your skin, so use it with care.
Use sparingly if you use drugs that make your skin more sensitive, such as retinol, Accutane or products containing alpha-hydroxy acid.
