How do I Download From YouTube to a Computer?
YouTube is a very popular video website that allows users to upload videos from their computer or mobile device. YouTube videos can also be embedded on any website using the embed code provided on every video. While YouTube does not directly offer this feature, it is also possible to download videos hosted by YouTube using third-party software. Some downloaders download the video files as flash video files, which require a special media player, such as Video Lan Player, MPEG Streamclip, or FLV Player.

Open the Wondershare Free YouTube Downloader application.

Enter search terms, just as you would in the YouTube window, into the search box located in the top-right corner of the program. Press the "Enter" key to begin the search.

Scroll through the search results and click "Download" on each video that you would like to download. Once clicked, the download will begin automatically.

View active downloads by clicking "Downloads" from the left toolbar.

Open the YouTube Downloader software.

Open your web browser, and navigate to the video page hosting the video that you would like to download.

Highlight the address in the address bar of your web browser and right-click, then select "Copy."

Paste the address into the text box labeled "Download from URL" in the YouTube Downloader window.

Place a checkmark in the "Convert to Format" box if you would like to convert the file once the download is complete. Select the format to which you would like to convert the YouTube file using the drop-down menu.

Select the folder to which you want to save the downloaded file, and check the box labeled "Add downloaded video/audio to iTunes" if you would like to automatically add the video to your iTunes library.

Open the YouTube Downloader HD software.

Navigate to the YouTube page hosting the video that you would like to download in your web browser. Select the web address, right-click, and then select "Copy."

Paste the web address of the video into the box labeled "Video URL" in the YouTube Downloader HD window.

Select the file type that you would like to download by using the radio buttons beside the file type. The available file types are FLV, AVI, MP4 and AVI HD. MP4 and AVI HD are high-definition video formats and will result in a high-definition download when available.

Click "Browse," located to the left of the "Save To" text box. Use the file browser to choose the output location of the downloaded file.
