How do I Create Custom Event Tickets?

Event tickets offer an easy way of selling admission to an event and allow event managers to keep track of seating and attendance. In addition, many people frame tickets after an event or keep them in a scrapbook with pictures to remember that special day. Whether you are organizing a music concert, company barbecue, film premiere or fundraising event, ticket design can be an invaluable step in the overall planning process. Take the time to create custom tickets that will impress your attendees and set the tone for an unforgettable event.

Instructions

1. Open a blank document in a publishing software program on your computer that offers design templates for custom event tickets. Event ticket templates offer a layout that makes printing easier and allows you to keep track of sales by numbering each ticket.

2. Pick a simple background design or color scheme for the tickets that coordinates well with the theme of the event. Decorate the tickets with clipart images, a border and a company logo to create memorable tickets that attendees will want to keep as a souvenir after the event. For example, custom tickets for a movie premier could have a clipart image of popcorn on a red background with an elegant black border.

3. Select a font style and font size for the tickets that can easily be read by attendees and ticket takers. Use white text for tickets with dark backgrounds and black text for light backgrounds to ensure clarity.

4. Type the important event information on the tickets, including the name of the event, company or sponsor name, date and time, location and directions. Include parking information for the event and a seat number, if applicable, on the bottom of the ticket.
