Things You'll Need

  • 1 cup fresh coffee grounds
  • 1 cup coarse sugar
  • 1 1/4 cup organic honey
  • 1 3/4 cup almond oil
  • 3/4 cup aloe vera gel
  • Avocado
  • 1 1/4 cup unscented glycerin soap
  • 1/3 cup cocoa butter
  • 2 tsp pot marigold (calendula gel)
  • 1/2 cup sunflower oil
  • 1 1/2 cup rose water
  • 1 tsp kiwi juice
  • Vitamin E
  • 1 tsp lavender essential oil
  • Large mixing bowl
  • Double boiler
  • Large metal spoon
  • Potato masher

Instructions

  1. Avocado and Coffee Ground Leg Exfoliant

      Add avocado to homemade exfoliant for soft, smooth legs.

      Mash avocado into a thick paste with potato masher.

      Add 1 cup fresh coffee grounds, 1 cup coarse sugar, 1 cup organic honey, 1 cup almond oil, 1/4 cup aloe vera gel and liquid from one vitamin E capsule.

      Mash until combined into thick paste.

      Spoon exfoliant into jar and cap.

      Pamper your legs by adding pot marigold to homemade shaving cream.

      Cut 1 1/4 cup unscented glycerin soap into 1/4 inch pieces and simmer in double boiler until melted and smooth.

      Mash 1/3 cup cocoa butter into warm glycerin soap mixture and continue to simmer until smooth.

      Remove from heat and stir in 1/3 cup aloe vera gel, 1/4 cup organic honey, 1/4 cup sunflower oil, two tsp. pot marigold (calendula gel) and liquid from one vitamin E capsule into warm glycerin soap mixture until creamy.

      Cool mixture to room temperature and spoon shaving cream into jar and cap.

Tips & Warnings

  • Test each skin care therapy on the back of your hand to ensure skin compatibility.
