How to Convert AED

How to Convert AED thumbnail
You can convert your AED into a variety of currencies.

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) uses the dirham (AED) as its official currency. The Emirates introduced the dirham in 1973, replacing the riyal. The dirham is pegged to the U.S. Dollar, meaning the two currencies fluctuate and change values at equal rates. In order to convert your UAE into another currency, you must use the latest exchange rate figures, which can change daily.

Instructions

    • 1

Find the latest exchange rate for the currency you want to convert your AED into. For example, if you wanted to convert AED into pounds sterling (GBP), you would need to find the exchange rate of 1 AED equals .1753 GBP.

    • 2

Multiply the number of AED you want to convert by the exchange rate you found in Step 1. In the example, if you wanted to convert 100 AED into GBP, you would multiply 100 by .1753.

    • 3

Change the units on the product you found in Step 2 to GBP. In the example, your final result would be 17.53 pounds.
