How to Stop a Mac That Cannot Store a Login Keychain

Apple's Keychain Access application is designed to manage all the passwords connected to your Mac computer. Luckily, Mac OS X has a built-in tool to diagnose and repair issues you are having with the program.

      Open Spotlight search and type in "keychain."

      Select "Keychain Access" from the drop-down list.

      Open the "Keychain Access" menu, then select "Keychain First Aid" from the drop-down options.

      Enter your user name and password in the window that opens.

      Select the "Verify" option at the right of the window. Then click the "Start" button. The application will list problems it finds with your Keychains.

      Select "Repair," then click "Start" again. The application will repair the problems it found with your Keychains.
