How to Raise Money For Tsunami Victims
Tsunamis are large waves that occur where there is a large volume of water, usually an ocean. Earthquakes, volcanic eruptions or landslides are examples of disturbances that can cause a tsunami to occur. Tsunamis can cause a lot of devastation to coastal areas because of the amount of water that is displaced. Many people are left homeless and in need of urgent assistance after a tsunami strikes. Fortunately, there are several ways you can raise money to help tsunami victims.

Hold a cake sale. Sell the cakes outside your home or rent a place, such as a community hall, to host the bake sale. Enlist friends and family to help bake the cakes. Make flyers announcing your bake sale, be sure to include the place, time and that the proceeds will benefit tsunami victims. Place the flyers around your neighborhood and in your community center. Bake the cakes in time for the sale. Arrange the cakes on tables and sell them by the slice or whole.

Set up a collection jar in your office. Talk to your HR department to make sure it is not against your company's policy to have a collection jar. Write in large bold letters on the collection jar that you are raising money to help tsunami victims. Place the jar in a highly trafficked area of your office, such as the kitchen, to ensure that it is seen by most employees.
