How Do I Broil Steak in a Toastmaster Toaster Oven?
Using a Toastmaster toaster oven's broiler to cook a steak takes less time than using a BBQ grill or an oven. The broiler can take as little as 15 minutes, depending on how well done you like your steak. Also, the process leaves behind very little mess. The hardest part about it is deciding which seasonings you prefer. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Adjust the shelf to level two, which will leave about two inches between the shelf and the heating elements on the top of the toaster oven. A broiler only uses the heating elements on the top of the toaster oven.
-
2
Set the toaster oven to the "Broil" setting and then adjust the timer to about five minutes to preheat.

3
Place the baking pan on a flat surface and put the wire broiling rack on top of the baking pan. Put the steak on the broiling rack. You can place aluminum foil on the baking pan to reduce cleanup, but do not place it on the broiling rack as the juices should be able to drain through the rack onto the baking pan.
-
4
Season the steak to taste. To prevent the steak from becoming crispy, place a tablespoon of butter on the center of the steak.
-
5
Place the baking pan, broiling rack and steak into the toaster oven and close the door.
-
6
Reset the timer to 10 minutes. Once the timer goes off, remove the baking pan, broiling rack and steak using oven mitts. Turn the steak over. Reapply the seasoning if desired and place the steak back in the toaster oven for 10 minutes. Monitor the steak frequently and increase or decrease the time needed based on your preference for a rare, medium or well-done steak.

7
Remove the baking pan, broiling rack and steak using oven mitts once the timer goes off for the second time. Turn off the toaster oven.
