Instructions

    • 1

Switch off your snow blower. Park it on a smooth, level surface. Disengage the spark plug from its power source, the spark plug wire.

    • 2

Unscrew the belt casing located on the front of your snow blower's engine. Remove both screws to pull it off of your blower.

    • 3

Lean the snow blower completely forward until the engine housing rests flat on the ground. Take out all Phillips screws holding the frame cover in place. This frame cover is underneath the snow blower main body. This reveals the drive belts.

    • 4

Remove the idler spring manually from the auger housing. The spring is located wrapped around the hex bolt. This doesn't require tools and can simply be unfastened, which loosens the auger drive belt. Manually pull the auger drive belts from the engine pulley, first the front belt and then the rear.

    • 5

Install replacement belts following previous steps in reverse order. Reattach the snow blower frame cover. Refasten the belt covering. Reconnect the spark plug wire to your spark plug. Start the snow blower and examine for correct operation.
