1
Access an online resource such as Pharmacy Checker, Destination RX, Health Pricer, or DrugStore. Many states, such as Florida, Maryland, Michigan, and Ohio, also have official government websites that provide information about medicine costs. Some resources will provide information about both prescription and over-the-counter medicine. Other resources may limit you to one or the other.

View the price chart for the medicine. In some cases, you will be able to see how much the medicine costs at individual pharmacies, such as CVS, Walgreen's, and WalMart. On the state websites, you will be able to compare drug costs for all of the pharmacies located in your state. This will help to ensure that you visit the pharmacy that has the lowest price.
