How to Fix an EXE Trojan
Services.exe is a file needed for Windows to operate properly. When a Trojan horse, which is a malicious program, invades the computer, it can alter the Services.exe file, leading to an infection. The infection leads to constant pop-up advertisements, hijacked Windows components and downloaded keyloggers. The Microsoft Security Essentials tool is a free antivirus program offered by Microsoft, which removes this threat from your computer.

Go to Microsoft download page (see Resources) and acquire the antivirus application. Click "Download Now" on the page. Click "Save" and select the file destination.

Double-click the antivirus application file to run it and choose your Windows operating system. Click the "Yes" option in response to the prompt. Click the "Next" button after you read the Microsoft agreement.

Click on the "Validate" button to validate your program. This will fully install the Security Essentials application on your computer. Security Essentials will do an automatic update.

Click on "Home," then click "Full" to choose this as your scanning preference. Click "Scan" to start the scan. Click the "Clean Computer" button to remove the "malicious services.exe" Trojan program.
