Passwords help manage network security.

A username and password provide the necessary credentials for a user to log into a network. If you have usernames and passwords stored in your Windows XP network, you can edit the passwords with the tools provided in the control panel. The "Stored User Names and Passwords" feature allows you to manage the passwords contained within your network.
