How do I Decorate a Navy Bedroom?
A room with navy walls can look dark and uninviting. However, when decorated appropriately with light colors and decorative accents, the dark walls become part of an overall decorative theme rather than a dark, oppressive part of the room. Determine what style to place in the room. For a girl’s room, consider a toile look with navy accents. For a boy, a nautical theme will go perfectly with navy walls. If you want a breezy feel, choose accents and fabrics that are lightweight and light colored. For a dark, stately look, add navy accents or use dark furniture and fabrics in the room. A striped or patriotic theme will also work as neutral themes for spare bedrooms or shared adult bedrooms.

Add white accents for a high-contrast look. Navy-and-white striped curtains, bedding and rugs will create clean, crisp lines inside the room. You can even use gingham or another pattern, as long as it is mostly white with navy accents. Use crisp fabrics such as muslin, cotton and linen.

Use lacy fabrics, and soft off-white colors for a girlie navy room. Navy toile or a pretty quilt with navy accents will transform the dark color into a girlie room.
