How Co I Reset the Change Drum on a Brother 1850 Laser Printer?

The drum unit on the Brother HL-1850 Laser Printer holds the toner cartridge. Just like the toner, the drum unit needs replacing when it wears out. When the drum wears out, the printer will display "Change Drum Soon." After changing the drum, manually reset the drum counter.

Instructions

1. Open the printer cover after installing the new drum.

2. Press the "Go" button on the printer. Hold the button down for at least four seconds.

3. Close the cover and the "Change Drum Soon" message no longer exists.

Tips & Warnings

• Do not reset the drum counter without changing the drum. The drum unit needs periodic replacement to maintain print quality.
