How to Print on a CD Printer

How to Print on a CD Printerthumbnail
Special CDs can be printed on.

For quite a while, people have been able to make their own CDs but have had to settle for printing CD labels that peel and stick on the CD. In the last few years, printer manufacturers have made printers that can print directly on special printable CDs. This gives homemade CDs a more professional look that can last longer than a label. Recently, some CD manufacturer's have made CD writers that write on the CD, but this technology is limited and does not offer a variety of colors.

Insert a printable CD onto the printers CD tray. The tray has a place to hold the CD where it will not slide around during the printing process. Make sure the CD has the printable side face up.

Load the CD printer tray into the printer. The tray will probably have to be slid in from the back of the print and may require a special switch or setting to be turned on to load the tray.

Open the printer software that allows you to design and print on CDs. Click the print button and choose any additional settings for the printing process.
