The RCA Scenium is line of LCD TVs manufactured by RCA. These LCD TVs come with a universal remote control that allows you to program and sync the remote to up to six different devices. You can program your RCA remote in two different ways. First, you can use the automatic code search option. This method, however, does not always work with certain devices. The second way to program your RCA Scenium is to use the direct code entry method.

Automatic Code Search

Turn on the device you want to operate with the RCA Scenium remote.

Press and hold the component button you want to program. While holding down this button, press and hold the "ON/OFF" button until the indicator light turns on. The indicator light is located at the top of the remote control.

Point the remote at the device you want to control and then press and release the "Play" button. This button is located at the bottom of the remote. Wait five seconds for the indicator on the remote to stop flashing.

Wait five seconds and press "Play" again if the device you are trying to control does not turn off. Repeat this step up to 20 times until the device turns off.

Press the "Reverse" button at the bottom left side of the remote. Wait 2 seconds and repeat the step until the device turns back on. Once the device turns back on, press and hold the "Stop" button located at the bottom of the remote.

Direct Code Entry

Turn on the component you want to control.

Find the brand and device codes for the device from the user manual. See "Resources" for a link if you don't have the manual.

Point the remote at the device you want to program and press and hold the component button on the remote.

Enter the 4-digit code while still holding down the component button.

Release the component button and then press the "ON/OFF" button on the remote. The device should turn off.
